Degasser Unit

Description/ Specification of Degasser Unit

A degasser tower is used for removal of carbon dioxide from water in a water treatment plant. It is located between the cation exchanger and the anion exchanger. The cation exchanger reaction forms carbon dioxide. Tower is packed with packing material. The water under treatment falls from the top of the tower and falls on the packing material thereby breaking down into smaller particles. This facilitates release of carbon dioxide. A blower is used to blow air through the bottom of the tower. This air sweeps away the carbon dioxide which exit through a vent in the top. This page lists companies dealing in degasser.
